Payout Cap Policy

Learn more about our Payout Cap Policy

Updated over a month ago

At FundingPicks, our mission is to create a fair, sustainable, and long-term ecosystem for all pickers.

To achieve this, we’ve implemented a tiered payout cap system designed to reward consistent performance and risk management - not one-off high-risk plays.

What Are Payout Caps?

Payout caps limit how much a newly funded user can withdraw in their early payout cycles.

They scale with your account size and gradually increase as you demonstrate consistent, disciplined performance.

If You Earn More Than the Cap

If your trading performance exceeds the current payout cap, here’s what happens:

You can withdraw up to the current cap amount for that payout cycle.

Any remaining profit stays in your account as extra.

You can include that remaining profit in your next payout request, once your next payout window opens and you qualify for the next cap tier.

If you lose some or all of that remaining balance before your next payout, it is treated as normal trading risk.

This approach follows the industry-standard model used by major prop firms, ensuring that profit isn’t erased - just deferred - and rewards players who can protect and grow their equity over multiple cycles.

Why We Use Payout Caps

We’ve observed that some pickers pass evaluations with solid, consistent strategies but then switch to aggressive, “full-port” behavior once funded.

This kind of risk doesn’t reflect true long-term skill or consistency.

By implementing payout caps, we:

Encourage responsible scaling and realistic growth.

Protect our funded ecosystem and capital longevity.

Ensure fairness between smaller and larger accounts.

Reward players who demonstrate discipline and steady profitability.

Example: First Payout Request on $50k Account

For example, if a player with a $50,000 simulated funded account earns $2,500 and requests a payout under the first cap, they will receive $2,000 on the default 80% profit split, or $2,250 if they have the 90% profit split add-on enabled.

Effective Date

Applies to all newly funded accounts created after this policy’s effective date - 10/23/2025

Existing funded users remain under their original payout terms.

In Summary

Our payout cap system mirrors what top prop firms use to protect players and capital alike.

It ensures that every funded picker has a clear, achievable path to scale - where consistency and control lead to freedom and unlimited payouts.
